The sun is out, the sky is blue and you’ve had a couple of sangrias by the pool. You’ve been checking out the talent and you’re feeling in the mood for a BIG night out.
Nudge nudge wink wink!
So if the evening progresses and it looks likely there might be a chance of some sizzling summer sex alfresco style, consider some of these potential hazards for safe summer lovin’
Burn baby burn
Be wary of that midday sun!! Although most holiday frivolities take place in the middle of the night, a spontaneous shag in the heat of the day could leave you feeling all warm inside – and outside! During the day areas of your skin that are not used to seeing the harsh light of day could be burnt to a crust by the time the deed has been done. Remember your sunscreen or take the action to a shadier place!!
Ouch – that stings!
If you’re feeling a little frisky and head into the undergrowth for a bit of nookie remember that you’re in a foreign country and you could bump into more than just your friendly garden spider! Depending on where you are in the world you could potentially be rolling around in the hay with some dangerous bugs and insects!
And explaining a bite in a delicate area to the local doctor could be a tad embarrassing!
Public places = nasty faces!!!
The smell of the ocean and the crashing of the surf can be an aphrodisiac but getting caught in a compromising position in a public or private beach might not be quite so romantic when the police become spectators! Chances are they will just tell you to cover up and move you on but you could get arrested and fined for lewd conduct, trespassing or public nudity depending on local rules and regulations.
Sand gets everywhere!
Sand, sweat and movement are equal to painful chafing! On a more serious note, sand in sensitive areas can be incredibly painful during and after sex. The coarseness of sand can cause cuts and scratches which increases the chance of contracting an STD. Sand can also tear condoms upping the stakes of catching infections and leading to a possible pregnancy.
Underwater Luurve
Sex in the sea can lead to all sorts of nasty infections! Underwater sex introduces water loaded with bacteria, which can put you at risk! But what the heck – you’re on holiday, throw caution to the wind!!!
Remember... you should always protect yourself when you go on holiday and the best way of doing that is to be prepared! Take condoms on holiday with you - then you won't run the risk of unwanted pregnancies or catching an STD!
